About the Role

1. Job Summary

The International Sales Executive – Tours & Travel is responsible for handling customer inquiries, promoting international holiday packages, preparing customized itineraries, and converting leads into confirmed bookings. The role requires strong sales skills, global destination knowledge, and customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction and achieve company sales targets.

2. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Handling

  • Handle inbound and outbound inquiries related to international tour packages through calls, emails, and other communication channels.
  • Understand customer travel requirements, preferences, and budget to suggest suitable tour packages.
  • Promote and sell international holiday packages to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Convert leads into confirmed bookings through effective communication and follow-up.

Itinerary Planning & Documentation

  • Prepare customized itineraries based on customer requirements.
  • Share accurate quotations, package inclusions, exclusions, and travel details with clients.
  • Maintain proper documentation of bookings, customer details, and sales records.
  • Assist with visa documentation and passport related queries.

Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with hotels, transport providers, and other vendors for reservations and confirmations globally.
  • Ensure timely booking and availability of services as per itinerary.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Provide excellent pre-sales and post-sales customer service.
  • Resolve customer queries and provide necessary travel assistance.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients for repeat business and referrals.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Update CRM or company systems with lead and booking details.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent sales, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of International tourist destinations and global travel trends.
  • Ability to prepare travel itineraries and quotations.
  • Customer-focused approach with problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Email, CRM tools).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

4. Educational Qualification

  • Any Graduate (Travel & Tourism qualification preferred).

5. Experience Requirement

  • 0–3 years of experience in Tours & Travel Sales or a related field preferred.
  • Freshers with relevant travel knowledge and strong communication skills may also apply.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly sales targets achievement.
  • Lead conversion ratio.
  • Customer satisfaction and feedback.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of itinerary preparation.
  • Repeat business and client retention.

7. Working Conditions

  • Work from office as per company working hours.
  • May require flexibility during peak travel seasons.
  • Coordination with internal teams and external vendors regularly.
