Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu where you will receive a warm welcome from the representative and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, attend a detailed Kailash Yatra briefing session and prepare for the spiritual journey ahead. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2 – Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing in Kathmandu including the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Jal Narayan Temple. Spend the rest of the day preparing for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 3 – Kathmandu to Syabrubesi / Timure / Ghattekhola

Begin your scenic Himalayan drive towards the Nepal-Tibet border via Trishuli Bazaar. Enjoy breathtaking views of rivers, mountains, forests, and traditional villages along the route. Overnight stay at Syabrubesi, Timure, or Ghattekhola depending on border conditions.

Day 4 – Border Crossing to Kyirong

Drive to Rasuwagadhi Border and complete Nepal & Tibet immigration formalities. Cross the Friendship Bridge and enter Tibet where you will be welcomed by the Tibetan guide. Continue the drive to Kyirong and enjoy your first experience of the Tibetan plateau landscapes. Overnight stay in Kyirong.

Day 5 – Kyirong Acclimatization Day

Today is reserved for acclimatization to high altitude conditions. Relax, take short walks around Kyirong, and prepare your body for the higher elevations ahead. Overnight stay in Kyirong.

Day 6 – Kyirong to Saga

Drive through spectacular Tibetan landscapes towards Saga. Witness breathtaking views of Ganesh Parbat, Lake Peiku Tso, and the mighty Brahmaputra River. Enjoy scenic mountain passes and open Tibetan plateau views during the journey. Overnight stay in Saga.

Day 7 – Saga to Holy Lake Mansarovar

Today is one of the most important days of the yatra as you finally reach the sacred Lake Mansarovar and witness the first divine darshan of Mount Kailash. Drive through the high-altitude Mayum-La Pass and experience the spiritual atmosphere surrounding Mansarovar Lake. Also witness the mystical Rakshas Tal Lake during the Mansarovar Parikrama. Overnight stay near Chiu Gompa.

Day 8 – Mansarovar to Darchen

In the morning, pilgrims can take a holy bath and perform puja at the sacred Mansarovar Lake. Later, drive to Darchen, the base camp for Mount Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay in Darchen.

Day 9 – Kailash Parikrama Begins | Darchen to Diraphuk

Begin the first day of the holy Kailash Parikrama from Yamadwar. Trek through beautiful valleys while enjoying divine views of Mount Kailash’s western and northern faces. Reach Diraphuk for an overnight stay near the majestic mountain.

Day 10 – Dolma-La Pass Trek to Zuthulphuk

Today is the most challenging and spiritually significant day of the yatra as you cross the sacred Dolma-La Pass at approximately 5750 meters. Witness the holy Gauri Kund and breathtaking Himalayan scenery while trekking through rugged mountain terrain before reaching Zuthulphuk. Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 11 – Complete Kailash Parikrama & Drive to Saga

Complete the final part of the Kailash Parikrama with a gradual downhill trek. Later, board your vehicle and drive back towards Saga with unforgettable spiritual memories of Mount Kailash. Overnight stay in Saga.

Day 12 – Saga to Kyirong

After breakfast, drive back towards Kyirong while enjoying the stunning Tibetan landscapes and mountain scenery. Overnight stay in Kyirong.

Day 13 – Return to Kathmandu

Cross the Tibet-Nepal border after completing immigration formalities and drive back to Kathmandu through scenic Himalayan roads. Enjoy your final evening in Nepal. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 14 – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for your return journey with divine blessings and unforgettable memories of the sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

To confirm your international tour booking with SBIT Travels Pvt Ltd, the following payment terms shall apply:

FIT / Individual Bookings

  • Full flight fare must be paid at the time of booking confirmation.
  • 50% of the land package cost must be paid in advance to confirm the booking.
  • Remaining 50% balance payment must be cleared at least 30 days prior to departure.

Group Departures

  • For all group tour departures, full payment must be completed 45 days prior to departure date.
  • Bookings will be confirmed only upon receipt of the required payment.

Bookings are subject to availability of flights, hotels, visas, and other travel services.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or official communication.

Flight Cancellation Policy

  • International flight tickets are completely non-refundable once booked.
  • Group flight bookings are also non-refundable.
  • Date changes or postponements may be considered only as per airline rules and subject to:
    • Seat availability
    • Airline approval
    • Applicable airline rescheduling charges and fare differences

Land Package Cancellation Charges

The following cancellation charges will apply on the land portion of the package:

Refund Policy

  • Eligible refunds, if any, will be processed within 15–30 working days from the date of cancellation approval.
  • Refunds will be processed only after receiving confirmation from airlines, hotels, transport providers, and other service partners.
  • Convenience fees, visa charges, insurance charges, forex charges, and service fees are non-refundable.
  • Any refund against unused services during the tour will not be entertained.
  • In case of visa rejection, cancellation charges applicable on booked services will still apply.

Important Terms & Conditions

  • Passport validity must be minimum 6 months from the date of travel.
  • Travelers are responsible for providing accurate documents for visa and travel processing.
  • Tour cost may change due to currency fluctuation, airline fare revision, tax changes, or government regulations.
  • The company shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, natural calamities, political disturbances, airline disruptions, or any circumstances beyond control.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all international travel.

No Show Policy

Failure to report for the tour, flights, transfers, hotel stay, or any booked service without prior written cancellation shall be treated as a No Show, and no refund shall be applicable under any circumstances.
